Yesterday Came and Went: Written and Performed by Megan Kelley

lyrics

Yesterday came and went
It could’ve been an all day event
Just thinking about the time we spent
I want to…

Listening to a lovely song and talking with the radio on
Stopping to get some dinner going
Why can’t this be
So beautiful?

Yesterday came and went and
Somehow today things look different
Can’t escape a new presence
Somebody

Smiling with your arms around me
Hoping that you’re understanding
You say you’re “just getting to know me”
But timing is
So critical

So I want to ignore all those warning signs and
Fall in love almost all the time
When you say you can’t deny…
But stop right there

Yesterday came and went
Woke up today, feeling absent
Little voice inside my head said
This isn’t

I know this thing called you and me was
Nothing but boyish fantasy
You should ask if she agrees
She’s standing there
So pitiful

So I wanna ignore all those warning signs and
Follow my heart all the time
When you say you can’t deny
I should’ve known, I

Wanna ignore all those warning signs and keep too much of an open mind
When you say you can’t deny that
You’re still in love
And you don’t know
Where you should go

Yesterday came and went
It could’ve been an all day event
Just thinking about the time we spent
I want to know

Adam Cosgrove

20
Engineer/Musician
University of Colorado at Denver - Music Industry Studies: Music Technology Major

During the spring of 2007 after graduating high school, Adam set up his own Presonus rig with Cubase LE simply to record his own music. After researching techniques and equipment, he quickly fell in love with the art of engineering and started re-recording and experimenting to try new things. He quickly started recording his friends’ music, building a studio and finding new techniques through trial and error. He slowly built up his arsenal of microphones and gear creating a MOTU HD system run through Sonar Producers Edition 8. During spring 2008, he found CU Denver's MEIS program and got accepted into the recording arts program in the fall of 2009 after 2 years of general education.

Adam is also a self-taught guitarist playing for the past 13 years, more steadily in the past 6. He composes trance and a variety of metal music for his band Black Venom and self 'untitled' project. As of lately, he has been trying to train his ears and enter an audio mastering practice. During his down time or while traveling, he enjoys a variety of music ranging from Aivaldi to Arcade Fire to Imogen heap, and even further to Nile, Behemoth, Immortal and Hate Eternal.
